Project Description:

Rev. Tim Heiney, the theological educator for Guinea has been stationed in the capitol city of Conakry. This is about 10 hours by road from the Forest Region, where most of out work in Guinea is. Among other reasons for this decision is the fact that we want the church to continue to take responsibility for the work and not to be leaning on missionaries. This will mean a lot of traveling up and down for the educator, a lot of wear and tear on a very expensive vehicle, and a lot of traveling expenses for fuel, repairs and the like.

If we can station a motorcycle in the Forest Region, then the educator could travel up by very inexpensive taxi. Once there he could use the motorcycle spending much less per mile and actually have even greater access to the work which is often on very bad roads where cars could easily become mired and stuck. Motorcycles can even use paths that are inaccessible to cars or trucks. A Motorcycle would cost about $5,000.

This project will help to purchase a motorcycle similar to the one shown here
