Project Description:
This project is a special help to the churches. Preaching points that are just starting out can build structures of wood and thatch.
Later, when they are stronger, churches can usually build their own buildings from mud block. But both have trouble putting on good roofing.

Since the church here in Guinea began the mission has helped to roof these buildings by providing a tarpaulin for preaching points and metal roofs for churches.
This is a big encouragement for the people to have something that would be out of their reach normally. Prices fluctuate drastically here, but normally it costs about $125 to put a tarpaulin over a thatch roof that can really keep out the rainy season rains. It costs six or seven hundred dollars to put a metal roof on a church.

Foundation Description:
· When we first came to Guinea we promised that if the people built their churches up to the lintel level then we would put the roof on it. We are trying to keep that promise.
· Preaching points that are just starting out can build structures of wood and thatch. later, when they are stronger, Churches can usually build their own buildings from mud block. But both have trouble putting on good roofing. Since the church here in Guinea began the mission has helped to roof these buildings by providing a tarpaulin for preaching points and metal roofs for churches.
· This help has always been a big encouragement for the people, and permanent buildings with metal roofs serve as a kind of proof that the church is not just a passing fad, but something that is here to stay.
